The Kogi State Government has commissioned twenty-two refurbished vehicles and twenty-seven motorcycles donated by the State Security Trust Fund for distribution to security agencies across the state.

Performing the commissioning, Governor Usman Ododo said the gesture underscores the Trust Fund’s capacity, efficiency, and commitment to complementing government efforts in tackling insecurity through the provision of critical logistics.

Governor Ododo noted that the intervention demonstrates how strengthened and functional government institutions can deliver essential support to agencies responsible for safeguarding lives and property.
While emphasizing that security was a collective responsibility, the Governor commended patriotic citizens who, beyond government efforts and the Trust Fund’s contributions, have continued to donate vehicles to boost the state’s security architecture.
He expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued support and genuine interest in enhancing security in Kogi State.
Governor Ododo also thanked the people of the state for their confidence in his administration, assuring that together they would build a safer, more stable, and prosperous state.
Chairman of the State Security Trust Fund, retired Air Vice Marshal Umar Omeiza, reaffirmed the Fund’s commitment to mobilizing resources and providing sustainable support for the operational needs of security formations.

He noted that several agencies have already benefited and urged those awaiting support to remain patient, describing the gesture as a continuous process.
Also speaking, the Commissioner of Police, Nasiru Kankaro, applauded Governor Ododo for investing in the logistics needs of security stakeholders, describing the intervention as timely and impactful.

He urged beneficiaries to deploy the vehicles effectively to enhance security operations across the state.
