Mallam Musa Dan’Azumi, the father of the immediate past Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), Alhaji Mohammed Musa Dan’Azumi, has been kidnapped by gunmen.
Dan’Azumi was kidnapped at his hometown, Daddare, in the Obi Local Government Area, a family source confirmed.
This is coming barely a few hours after Prince Ibrahim Hassan Abdullahi, an aide to Governor Abdullahi Sule, dismissed claims of a rising level of insecurity by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a complete fabrication.
Prince Ibrahim, in a statement, said the claims by the opposition party were nothing but a desperate attempt to score cheap political points and create confusion in the state.
Less than a week ago, gunmen abducted Mallam Yusuf Agbo and his first wife from their home in Giza, Keana. The abductors have demanded N50 million ransom for their release.
Yet-to-be-identified gunmen also invaded the Sarkin Noma community in Keana, killing two residents and abducting one other.
