The Nigeria Customs Service, Kwara Command, Controller, Comptroller Mathew Ojeifo, has formally handed over leadership of the command to an acting Area Controller after the end of his tenure at the Service.
According to a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Customs Service, Kwara Command, Deputy Superintendent of Customs, SM Suleman, and made available to newsmen in Ilorin.
Comptroller Ojeifo expressed appreciation to all officers and men of the command, other security agencies, and stakeholders for their support and cooperation during his tenure.
Comptroller Ojeifo acknowledged that during his tenure, there were commendable achievements in revenue generation, enforcement, and service delivery.
He noted that absolute confidence in the leadership capacity, experience, and professionalism in the ranks and files of the service across the country.
The outgoing Comptroller added that the incoming acting Controller, DC Najeem Ogunbiy, is a seasoned and upright Officer and urged all officers and men to accord him maximum support, loyalty, and cooperation needed for him to succeed.
Meanwhile, the acting Area Controller expressed appreciation to the Controller General of Customs, CG Bashir Adeniyi, and his management team for allowing him to serve the nation in the capacity of a state Comptroller.
He assured himself of his commitment to upholding the standards, values, and excellence of the service.
