Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has called on Christians and other residents of the state to use the Christmas season to deepen peace, unity and selfless service, describing the celebration of the Nativity as a timely reminder of the values needed to address social challenges and strengthen communal harmony in Kogi State.
In a Christmas goodwill message conveyed through his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Ismaila Isah, the Governor reflected on the spiritual significance of the season, noting that the birth of Jesus Christ calls for patience, forbearance, goodwill and other virtues that promote peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding.
Governor Ododo said the enduring lessons of Christmas remain critical to the growth and development of the state, urging citizens to uphold brotherhood, restraint and a strong sense of collective responsibility as foundations for lasting peace and sustainable progress.
He stated that his administration was guided by these timeless ideals in the pursuit of good governance, public order and steady development, stressing that government policies are inclusive and deliberately focused on improving the welfare of the people.
The Governor further assured residents that the security and well-being of the populace remain top priorities of his government, pledging continued efforts to protect lives and property across the state.
Governor Ododo prayed that the joy of Christmas would abide in every household across Nigeria, rekindle hope in every citizen and usher the nation into a new year marked by peace, diligence and shared prosperity.
