Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, has signed the ₦820.49 billion 2026 Appropriation Bill into law.
The Governor assented to the bill at his hometown in Okene Local Government Area of the state, assuring the State House of Assembly of his administration’s commitment to fiscal discipline, transparency, and prudent management of public resources.

Governor Ododo stated that the appropriation law would be implemented strictly in accordance with the law, with every naira deployed to advance the progress and well-being of the people of Kogi State.
He commended the people of the state for their cooperation, patience, and steadfast support, assuring them that 2026 would be a more secure and prosperous year marked by impactful achievements.
Meanwhile, Governor Ododo also signed five other bills into law.

The bills include: the Kogi State Appropriation Law, 2026; the Kogi State Public Audit Law, 2025; the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (Establishment) Law, 2025; the Kogi State Taxes and Levies (Approved List for Collection) Law, 2025; and the Kogi State Pool Betting and Gaming Machine (Control, Levy and Taxation) Law, 2025.
