The First Lady of Kogi State, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, has called on citizens to embrace the spiritual significance of the Ramadan fast and the Lenten season as a pathway to strengthening unity and advancing the overall development of the state.
In a goodwill message to Muslim and Christian faithful, Hajia Ododo emphasized the importance of reflecting on enduring values such as devotion, sacrifice, discipline, and compassion, noting that these virtues are essential for building a more cohesive and prosperous society.
She described the simultaneous observance of Ramadan and Lent as a rare and meaningful moment, urging adherents of both faiths to deepen their spiritual commitments and offer sincere prayers for the peace, stability, and progress of Kogi State.
The First Lady reaffirmed her dedication to supporting girls, women, the elderly, and other vulnerable groups across the state, assuring residents that her office remains open and responsive to those in need of assistance.
She also advised parents and guardians to prioritize their health and well-being, maintain close supervision of their children, and remain vigilant on security matters, as the government intensifies efforts to curb criminal activities threatening peace in some parts of the state.
Hajia Sefinat Ododo congratulated residents on the commencement of the holy seasons and encouraged them to extend love, generosity, and support to the less privileged within their communities.
