Muslim faithful have been reminded to intensify prayers and sustain the spiritual lessons of the month of Ramadan beyond the period to attract Allah’s abundant reward in the hereafter.
Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state gave the advise as the guest lecturer at the second edition of the joint Annual Ramadan lecture organised by Radio Nigeria,NTA and the Nasarawa Broadcasting service NBS, in lafia,the Nasarawa state capital.



























Delivering the Ramadan Lecture, titled, Fasting Beyond Food: Developing Self-discipline and Taqwa, Governor Abdullahi Sule appreciated his choice to deliver the lecture to remind Muslims that Fasting during Ramadan goes beyond abstinence from food and drink but a period for sober reflection and spiritual upliftment.
Quoting the holy Quran and the Hadith of prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, Governor Sule reminded Muslims that the reward of fasting during the month of Ramadan cannot be quantified by anybody except Allah and it starts with pure intention regular recitation of the holy Quran and late night prayers among others.
Chairman of the Ramadan lecture, and Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board,JAMB Professor Ishaq Oloyede appreciated the uniqueness of the Ramadhan Lecture, emphasising its role in promoting peace and National cohesion.
Professor Oloyede underscored the role of media in promoting unity in diversity, encouraging them on accountability and justice among other areas that improve moral values.
Chairman of the organising committee and immediate past Executive Vice Chairman Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, Mallam Auwalu Salihu explained that the event organised by the mainstream broadcast outfits in Nasarawa state provided opportunity to propagate the lessons of the sacred month of Ramadan
The second Annual Ramadan lecture organized by Federal Radio corporation of Nigeria FRCN, Nigerian Television Authority NTA and the Nasarawa Broadcasting service NBS was aimed to aquaint Muslim faithful on the essence and the spiritual lesson of the month of Ramadan through strick adherence on what to do and what not to do during the sacred month of Ramadan.
