The Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety of students, staff, and residents of Anyigba community.
Professor Usman made this known when the Commanding Officer of the 21 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, Anyigba, Lieutenant Colonel. Godiya Solomon Monday, paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
The Vice-Chancellor commended the Nigerian Army for its proactive efforts in maintaining security within the town and on the university campus.

He noted that security remains a top priority of his administration, explaining that a visibility study has been initiated to identify flashpoints where crimes and other security breaches have been reported.
Professor Usman stressed the importance of strengthening the relationship between the university and the army, noting that through collaboration and coordinated efforts, cultism and other social vices can be effectively curtailed.
In his remarks, Colonel. Godiya Solomon Monday assured the Vice-Chancellor of the battalion’s continued commitment to safeguarding the university community.
He disclosed that the battalion has a permanent site within the university community and that measures are being put in place to enhance security infrastructure and operational readiness.
