Muslims across Nigeria have been urged to uphold the spiritual lessons of fasting beyond the holy month of Ramadan.
The Chief Imam of Ete and Coordinator of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, Lokoja-Koton Karfe, Imam Muhammad Wandana, made the call in his Eid-el-Fitr message in Lokoja.
Imam Wandana noted that the period of Ramadan comes with immense spiritual benefits, noting that Allah has promised abundant and immeasurable rewards to those who observed the fast faithfully.
He encouraged the Muslim Ummah to reflect deeply on the lessons of the season and sustain them by maintaining the fear of Allah in their daily lives.

According to him, Ramadan instills values of compassion, generosity, and self-discipline, urging Muslims to continue extending acts of kindness and support to others even after the fasting period.
Speaking on the importance of Zakatul Fitr, the Imam stressed that charity should be directed towards the needy, including the poor, orphans, and other vulnerable groups in society.
Meanwhile, the Chief Imam of Jimgbe, Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani, has felicitated with Muslim faithful in Kogi State on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.
In his message to mark the end of Ramadan, Alhaji Tijjani urged the Ummah to sustain the virtues of righteousness imbibed during the holy month.
He called on Muslims to remain vigilant and prioritize their security, while also appealing to government at all levels to address the security situation with utmost seriousness.
