Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has urged residents to embrace unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr across the state.
Speaking after the Eid prayer at Muhammadu Buhari Square Lokoja, the governor described the Sallah season as a time for deep reflection on the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, humility, and faith in Allah.
Governor Ododo noted that the lessons of Ramadan, self-discipline, compassion, and total submission to the will of Allah remain vital to building a peaceful and prosperous society.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of citizens, enhancing security, and driving development across key sectors of the state.
The governor commended the people of Kogi State for their resilience and continued support, assuring them that his government would remain steadfast in meeting their expectations.
He also called on Nigerians to continue praying for the peace, unity, and stability of the country, while urging sustained support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as it implements reforms aimed at national growth and development.
Governor Ododo further encouraged citizens to use the festive period to promote love, harmony, and mutual understanding, regardless of religious or political differences.
In a related message, the Chief Imam of Adankolo Mosque, Ogigi Umar, admonished Muslim faithful to uphold the teachings of Ramadan and called for unity among Muslims and non-Muslims as a pathway to national progress.
