Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians in the state and across Nigeria, describing the season as a time that reflects sacrifice, love, and the victory of hope over despair.
In his Easter message, the governor noted that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ offer profound lessons in humility, forgiveness, and renewal urging the citizens to embrace these virtues in their daily lives.
Governor Ododo called on residents to use the Easter period for sober reflection while promoting unity, peaceful coexistence, and mutual respect among all.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, as well as creating an enabling environment for sustainable development in the state.
The governor also appreciated the people of the state for their continued support, assuring that his government would intensify efforts in improving security, infrastructure, healthcare, and economic growth.
He further urged citizens to pray for Kogi State, Nigeria, and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Governor Ododo wished Christians a peaceful, joyful, and fulfilling Easter celebration.
