The Chakfem Youth Movement, CYM in Mangu Local Government Area has appealed to Government to establish a permanent mobile police station in the Chiefdom to curtail the incessant attacks by armed militias.
The CYM made the appeal while addressing Journalists in Jos.
Leader of the Group, Comrade Simon Paul stated that from July to August this year, more than twenty people have been killed, houses were burned and more than five thousand people displaced.
The CYM Leader noted that communities in the District are vulnerable due to the terrain and poor communication facilities in the Area.

The Group also said the unprovoked attack by the militia was simultaneously carried out in manden, Tim, Jibin, Jiblang, Koppang and Jilem communities among others resulting in loss of livestock, destruction of crops and rustling of over two hundred cows among others.
They group urged government and spirited individuals to as a Matter of urgency provide relief materials to victims of the attack stressing that many of them have been rendered homeless with no food and shelter.
It also appealed to Government to Hasten the road construction to Chekfem and boost the network coverage in the Area for quick response by security when there is an incident.
Comrade Paul expressed the Youths determination to remain law abiding and work closely with Government and security agencies to defend the communities and find a lasting solution to the security challenges in the Chiefdom.
