A gubernatorial aspirant in Nasarawa State, Ambassador Muhammad Shahu Rufai, has called on political parties in the country to provide a level playing field for aspirants to contribute to national stability.
Ambassador Shahu made the call when he led other stakeholders on a courtesy visit to Aren Eggon, Ahmad Ubangari Alaku, the first in his palace at Nassarawa Eggon.
The gubernatorial aspirant, who expressed his determination to transform Nasarawa State from its present status through purposeful representation, urged politicians to shun the politics of hatred and acrimony for the overall growth and development of the state.
He appealed to electorates in the state and beyond to focus on an issue-based campaign to engender peace and growth of the society.
In a remark, the Aren Eggon Ahmad Ubangari Alaku, the first who appreciate Ambassador Muhammad Shahu for the visit advised residents of Nassarawa State to always put the interest of the state above their personal interest and also shun hate speeches capable of creating disunity in the polity.
The Royal Father also cautioned Youths against acts that will destroy their future.
