Batch C Corps Members deployed to Nasarawa State have been officially sworn in by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Aisha Aliyu, with a charge to uphold the ideals of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC.
Governor Abdullahi Sule, made the call during the swearing-in ceremony held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Keffi Local Government Area.
Governor Sule congratulated the Corps Members on the successful completion of their undergraduate studies, which qualified them for national service.
He described them as fortunate to be posted to Nasarawa State-a land endowed with abundant natural resources and fertile soil for agriculture, among other blessings.
Represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Yakubu Kwanta, the governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the NYSC and its objectives, stressing that outstanding Corps members would be rewarded.
The State Co-ordinator of the NYSC, Mrs. Salamatu Muhammad, said that a total of 2080 Corps Members, have so far been registered for the orientation exercise and they displayed admirable spirit of unity.

She emphasized that the orientation programme is designed to equip the Corps Members with the resilience and discipline required to navigate the challenges of national service, urging them to uphold unity and discipline throughout the service year.
A total of 2080 Batch C Corps Members comprising 906 males and 1174 females, are currently undergoing orientation exercise and skills acquisition training at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Keffi ahead of the mandatory one-year national service.
